Title: Teen Titans - "Starfire Unbound" FADE IN: EXT. JUMP CITY - NIGHT The city is peaceful under the sparkling stars. Suddenly, a burst of bright green light and an unearthly scream shatter the calm. CUT TO: INT. TITANS TOWER - COMMON ROOM - NIGHT The Teen Titans - ROBIN, BEAST BOY, RAVEN, and CYBORG - are startled awake by an alarm. ROBIN Another attack? We already stopped Slade tonight! CYBORG It's not an attack... It's Starfire. She's in distress! They rush out. CUT TO: EXT. JUMP CITY PARK - NIGHT STARFIRE is surrounded by a pulsating aura, levitating with erratic bursts of power shooting from her eyes and hands. Civilians flee in panic. BEAST BOY (as a pterodactyl, flying) Guys, whatever's going on with her, it's nothing like we've ever seen! RAVEN Her emotions are out of control; they're fueling her powers. We need to calm her down. The Titans approach cautiously. ROBIN Starfire, please! You must fight whatever's happening to you! Starfire's voice is distorted, cycling through pain and confusion to blind rage. STARFIRE Stay back! I... I can't control it! Her powers explode in a blinding light, knocking the Titans back. She flees into the night sky. CUT TO: INT. TITANS TOWER - STARFIRE'S ROOM - NIGHT The team regroups, surveying the bizarre etchings scorched into the walls of Starfire's room. CYBORG These symbols... They look like Tamaranean, but distorted. RAVEN (studying a book) This might relate to a prophecy I read about. An ancient Tamaranean insanity plague that causes emotional turmoil and unchecked power. ROBIN So it's not her fault. But how do we help her? BEAST BOY We find her, and we bring her back home! CUT TO: EXT. JUMP CITY - NIGHT (MONTAGE) - Starfire wreaking havoc, still struggling with her sanity. - The Titans coordinating with local authorities to evacuate civilians. - The Titans confronting Starfire, fighting defensively. CUT TO: EXT. BLUDHAVEN - NIGHT Failing to reach her emotionally, the Titans enact a desperate plan using a device created by Cyborg to dampen her powers temporarily. As they manage to subdue Starfire, she looks at Robin with a glimmer of recognition. STARFIRE Please... Help me... SMASH CUT: INT. BLUDHAVEN MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY - DAY Starfire, now sedated and bound with power-dampening restraints, is led into a sterile room by orderlies. DR. VANDERBILT, a sympathetic psychiatrist, watches with the Titans. DR. VANDERBILT We'll do everything we can for her. The mind of an alien is largely uncharted territory, but I am hopeful. CUT TO: INT. TITANS TOWER - COMMON ROOM - DAY The Titans, somber and tense, discuss what to do next. CYBORG So what's our next move? We're a team member down. RAVEN The cure might lie in her home world's science. I can attempt a spell to seek the answers across the stars. They nod in agreement. ROBIN (determined) We'll bring our friend home, no matter what it takes. CUT TO: INT. BLUDHAVEN MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY - STARFIRE'S ROOM - NIGHT Starfire sits quietly, staring through the small window at the moon. Her hand flinches, and a tiny spark of green energy escapes. She smiles faintly, her eyes still holding a tinge of madness. SUDDENLY: A shadowy FIGURE appears at the door. The figure utters something inaudible, causing the facility's lights to flicker. CUT TO: INT. TITANS TOWER - COMMON ROOM - NIGHT Suddenly, the alarms blare out once more. Raven's spell is interrupted. Confusion and panic sets in. CYBORG It's the facility! Something is happening! They rush out to the T-Ship. CUT TO: INT. BLUDHAVEN MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY - STARFIRE'S ROOM - NIGHT The figure reveals themselves - a TAMARANEAN SORCERER - as they begin chanting in a cryptic tone. STARFIRE (whispering) What are you? The cliffhanger hangs as her restraints begin to glow, and the sorcerer's presence grows more menacing. FADE TO BLACK. [TO BE CONTINUED...]
