Becker: "Did you hear that?!" Friend: "What? I didn't hear anything." Becker: "I swear I heard a door creaking...do you think someone's in the house?" Friend: "Oh, come on, Becker. It's probably just the wind or something." Becker: "No, I'm serious! I have a bad feeling about this. What if it's a burglar or something?" Friend: "Don't be ridiculous. We're safe in my house. Nothing is going to happen." Becker: "I don't know...I just have a really bad feeling. Can we please check it out together?" Friend: "Fine, fine. Let's go see. But I'm telling you, it's probably nothing." (Becker and her friend cautiously walk through the house, checking each room) Becker: (whispering) "Did you hear that? It sounded like footsteps..." Friend: "Becker, calm down. It's probably just the house settling or something. We'll be fine." (Becker suddenly grabs her friend's arm, trembling) Becker: "I-I think someone's here! We need to call the police now!" Friend: (starting to feel scared too) "O-Okay, okay. Let's go to my room and call 911. Stay close to me, okay?" (Becker and her friend rush to the room and call the police, hearts pounding and bodies shaking with fear)
