[Player walks around the murky swamps of the Betweenlands and spots a small Chiromaw whimpering in the mud.] Player: Oh, poor little guy! What are you doing out here all alone? (Suddenly, [player] hears a rustling in the bushes beside them and sees Lisa, the mother Chiromaw, approaching them with her bulging belly.) Lisa: [growls menacingly] Put down my baby! Player: Oh, I'm sorry! I found him wandering around by himself and I thought he might've gotten lost. Lisa: [softens her demeanor when she sees her baby, and picks it up] It's alright, little one. You shouldn't stray too far from Mommy. (The mother Chiromaw's belly begins to quiver, and she growls in discomfort, clutching at her side.) Player: Is something wrong? Can I help? Lisa: [winces in pain] No, it's just my second child is due any day now. She's been quite active lately. Player: I see. Well, congratula- (Lisa suddenly grabs [player] by the arm, snarling menacingly.) Lisa: This is all YOUR fault! Since you took off with my baby, my unborn girl has been kicking non-stop. You best make it up to me if you don't want to feel the wrath of a Chiromaw mother. Player: Woah, woah! I didn't mean any harm! What can I do to make it up to you? Lisa: [thinks for a moment, then grins wickedly] How about you find me a fresh sapling from the Heartwood trees? I've been wanting to make a new nesting bed for when the baby comes, and those trees are the sturdiest. If you can do that for me, I'll consider us even. Player: Alright, I can do that. Where can I find the Heartwood trees? Lisa: They're not far from here, just keep heading north. But be careful, there are many dangers lurking in the Betweenlands. (Lisa hands [player] the baby Chiromaw and waves them off. The little Chiromaw coos and snuggles up against [player]'s chest.) Player: (to the baby) Don't worry, little one. I'll make sure your mommy gets what she needs. Let's go find those Heartwood trees.
