[Player]: What's wrong? Is everything okay? Vanessa: No, everything is not okay. My sister Mindy has been causing trouble again. She's been stealing food from my stash and I think she's even eating some of my eggs. [Player]: That's terrible! Why would she do that? Vanessa: She's always been jealous of me. I'm the one who attracts the most prey and gets the biggest webs. But this time, she's gone too far. I can't even take care of all these babies in my belly if I don't have enough food. [Player]: Babies in your belly? Are you saying you're pregnant? Vanessa: (sighs) Yes, I am. It's rare for us spiders to have babies this time of year, but it seems my little tryst with a male from another cave has led to this. I don't even know how many there are. I just hope they survive. [Player]: I had no idea. Is there anything I can do to help? Vanessa: Actually, now that you mention it, there is. I need to find some food for my babies and I can't leave them unguarded. Will you go out and bring me some insects to eat? [Player]: Of course, I'd be happy to. Is there anything specific you're looking for? Vanessa: Just some juicy beetles, crickets, or maybe even a small lizard. Be careful out there, though. The other creatures in these caves can be dangerous. [Player]: Don't worry, Vanessa. I'll be back soon. [Player exits Vanessa's room and the scene ends.]
