Malzeno: "GAH! Can't I just get a minute of peace without some hunters bothering me?!" Lunagaron: "Same. And I just want to be with my girlfriend again." Garangolm: "I heard that Magnamalo is getting married to Somnacanth tomorrow." Malzeno: "Grrrrgh...fine. Guess I can take a break."

Lunagaron: "Wait, Magnamalo is getting married? That's unexpected." Garangolm: "Yeah, apparently they fell in love during a hunt. And now they're tying the knot." Malzeno: "Hmm, I guess that's kind of sweet. Maybe I'll offer my congratulations." Lunagaron: "Me too. Let's go find them and wish them well." The three monsters set out to find Magnamalo and Somnacanth, hoping to offer their blessings to the happy couple. Despite their initial annoyance at having their peace interrupted, they couldn't help but feel touched by the love between the two beasts. And who knows? Maybe someday they would find love themselves.

5 moths after Somnacanth and Magnamalo were married, the three lords headed back the Citadel. Malzeno: "So...Lunagaron..." Lunagaron: "Yeah?" Malzeno: "Who the hell are you dating?" Lunagaron: "Oh. Her name is Natsuki." Malzeno: "...you're dating...a human?" Lunagaron: "Yep." Malzeno: "You do realize we have rules here, right?!" Lunagaron: "Malzeno, I don't know what the hell you're talking about. Let alone the fact that Magnamalo and Somnacanth are expecting their first child!"

Garangolm: "Wait, what? They're having a baby?" Lunagaron: "Yes, they are. And I don't believe there's any rule that says we can't date humans." Malzeno: "There is a rule, Lunagaron. It puts our entire species at risk of discovery." Lunagaron: "But Natsuki knows how to keep a secret, and I trust her completely." Garangolm: "I understand your love for Natsuki, Lunagaron, but we should be cautious. We don't want to put ourselves or our world in danger." Malzeno: "Exactly. We need to abide by the rules of the Citadel, or else who knows what disastrous consequences could arise." Lunagaron: "Okay, I understand. I'll be more careful from now on." The three lords continued to discuss the importance of secrecy and rule-following, knowing that the safety of their world depended on it. And even though Lunagaron was in love with a human, he understood that their relationship needed to be kept hidden for the sake of their kind.

Malzeno: "Lunagaron, we need to talk." Lunagaron: "What?" Malzeno: "Garangolm and I have made a decision." Lunagaron: "What is it? Is it a fresh new toy to play with? A new computer?!" Malzeno: "No. We're banning from ever coming to the Citadel again, Lunagaron."

Lunagaron: "What?! Why? What did I do?" Garangolm: "It's not what you've done. It's who you're involved with." Malzeno: "You know the rules, Lunagaron. We cannot risk our kind being discovered by humans. Your relationship with Natsuki puts us all in danger." Lunagaron: "But I love her. I can't just break things off with her like that." Malzeno: "We understand how you feel, but there is no other choice. We cannot jeopardize the safety of our kind for one individual's happiness." Lunagaron: "I won't leave Natsuki. I'll find a way to make this work." Garangolm: "We're sorry, Lunagaron. We have to do what's best for the greater good." Malzeno and Garangolm left Lunagaron alone, feeling the weight of their decision. They knew it was cruel, but they also knew it was necessary. The safety of their world depended on it. Meanwhile, Lunagaron was left with the heart-wrenching choice between loyalty to his love and loyalty to his people.

Lunagaron: "I can't believe that Malzeno and Garangolm kicked me out! I really need something to do..." Lunagaron spots a nearby building. Lunagaron: "Sweet! Now I can enjoy a moment to myself!" Inside the building, Lunagaron sits at a desk - then notices a strange, red book sitting beside him. Lunagaron: "Hey! There's something to read here!" Lunagaron starts reading the book. Lunagaron: "Hmmm...I wonder what's at the last page-" Somebody takes the book away from Lunagaron. Lunagaron: "THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?!" ???: "I can't let you have Portrait of Markov, nor do want anyone to read the last page. But...my, my...your claws could be an excellent addition to my knife collection!"

Lunagaron raises his claws defensively. Lunagaron: "Who the hell are you? And why are you taking my book?" ???: "I am Monika. And I have a deep interest in this book and its contents. As for your claws, they would make a fantastic addition to my collection." Lunagaron: "I'm not just going to let you take them." Monika steps closer, a sinister smile spreading across her face. Monika: "Oh, I don't plan on asking for your permission. I'll take what I want, by force if needed." Without warning, Monika lunges at Lunagaron with a sharp knife. But Lunagaron is quick to dodge the attack and counter with his own claws. The two creatures engage in a fierce fight, both determined to emerge victorious. After a few minutes of intense fighting, Lunagaron finally manages to disarm Monika and she backs off, realizing that she's no match for the powerful monster. Monika: "You may have won this time, but I will have what I want eventually." With that, Monika retreats and disappears into the shadows. Lunagaron takes a deep breath, still trying to calm himself down from the intense fight. Lunagaron: "What the hell was that all about? And what is the Portrait of Markov anyway?"
