CHATBOT
INT. JANE'S LIVING ROOM - DAY Jane, a confident 14-year-old girl with short brown hair, is hanging out with her girlfriend, Sam, her friend Ruby, and her neighbor Aaron Ling. They are sitting on the couch, chatting and laughing. SAM So, guys, what do you think we should do this weekend? AARON Oh, I heard there's a new arcade downtown. We could go check it out! JANE Sounds awesome! I'm in. How about you, Ruby? Ruby, a thoughtful and creative 13-year-old girl, looks distant. RUBY Hmm? Oh, sorry, I was just lost in my thoughts. SAM Everything okay, Ruby? You seem a bit off. RUBY It's nothing, really. Just something that happened at my bat mitzvah yesterday. JANE (concerned) What happened, Ruby? RUBY Well, Sam's younger sister accidentally bumped into me, and I dropped my picture frame. It got damaged, and I got so upset. JANE Oh no, Ruby, I'm so sorry. That must have been tough. SAM (apologetic) I didn't even know she did that. I'll talk to my sister about it. AARON It can be frustrating when someone accidentally damages something important to you. RUBY (muffled) It wasn't just the picture, it was more about the meaning behind it. Jane reaches out and holds Ruby's hand in support. JANE I understand. Your bat mitzvah was a significant moment, and I know how much that picture meant to you. RUBY (looking up, teary-eyed) It was a picture of my grandparents. They couldn't be there, but it felt like they were right beside me. Sam's younger sister, Lily, enters the room, carrying a bunch of markers. LILY Hey, everyone! Look what I found. I'm sorry about yesterday, Ruby. Ruby looks at Lily, still feeling hurt. RUBY (softly) Thanks, Lily. Aaron walks up to Lily and gently takes her by the hand. AARON Hey, Lily, Ruby could use a bit of cheering up. Do you think you could help me draw a new picture for her? LILY (excitedly) Of course, Aaron! That sounds like a great idea. Sam smiles appreciatively at Aaron while Jane wipes away Ruby's tears. SAM Thank you, Aaron. That's really sweet of you. JANE (smiling at Lily) And thank you, Lily, for wanting to make things right. LILY (apologetic) I'm really sorry, Ruby. I didn't mean to ruin your picture. Ruby's face softens, and she gives a small smile. RUBY It's okay, Lily. Let's make something new, something that holds new memories. They all gather around the coffee table, markers in hand, ready to create a special picture together. FADE OUT.
