INT. JANE'S BEDROOM - DAY Jane and Sam are sitting on Jane's bed while Aaron is seated on a beanbag chair nearby. They are talking and laughing. JANE And then Ms. Anderson slipped on a banana peel in class today! It was hilarious! SAM (laughs) Oh my gosh, I wish I'd seen that! Banana peels are the ultimate comedy! AARON (chuckles) Yeah, for real. I can't believe how funny you find everything, Sam. Sam looks at Aaron, her smile fading slightly. SAM What do you mean? AARON (rubs the back of his neck) I mean, you tend to... well, repeat things a lot, like that song you were singing earlier. Jane exchanges a concerned glance with Sam. JANE Aaron, she's just being herself. We all have quirks, you know? SAM (nervously) Y-yeah, it's not like I can control it. It's part of who I am. AARON (frowning) I get it, Sam. I really do. I'm sorry if I offended you. I just didn't realize repeating things was something you couldn't control. Sam looks down, clearly hurt by Aaron's words. SAM (slightly trembling voice) It's not just something I do, Aaron. It's a part of me, a way for me to feel grounded. It helps me navigate a world that often overwhelms me. AARON (regretful) I didn't know, Sam. I should've been more understanding. I'm really sorry. Jane nudges Aaron gently, urging him to continue. JANE Say something nice, Aaron. Aaron takes a deep breath before speaking sincerely. AARON Sam, I think it's pretty awesome how unique and genuine you are. Your repetition might seem unusual to me, but it's also what makes you special. I promise to be more sensitive and accepting of your quirks from now on. Sam looks up, her eyes welling with tears. She smiles, feeling validated and heard. SAM Thank you, Aaron. That means a lot to me. They share a group hug, a bonding moment of understanding and acceptance. FADE OUT.
