ROBIN Alright, Harrington. What's been eating at you? And don't tell me it's because you couldn't figure out that riddle. Steve hesitates, catching a nervous look from Robin. He takes a deep breath. STEVE So, you know after you told me about...you know, Tammy Thompson? I spent a lot of time trying to make sense of my feelings. Robin leans against the counter, crossing her arms. ROBIN Well, it was a pretty big deal, Steve. I hadn't really told anyone before you. STEVE No, I get it. I really do. And I'm glad you trusted me. But, it made me realize something else too. Something about our friendship. Robin's expression grows curious. STEVE (CONT'D) I thought I liked that...Tammy-esque TYPE of girl. But this whole time, I've been looking for someone I can trust, laugh with, face inter-dimensional hell with... Robin raises one eyebrow, a small smirk playing on her lips. Beginning to understand where Steve is going with this. STEVE (CONT'D) ...and decipher Russian code with. Robin's smirk grows. Steve nervously scratches the back of his head, looking down momentarily before meeting Robin's gaze. STEVE (CONT'D) And the thing is, Robin, I think that person is, well... Robin puts her hand on Steve's, stopping him. ROBIN Steve...as much as I value our friendship, you need to understand. I like girls. I'm not going to be in a romantic relationship with a guy. But that doesn't mean we can't have something important too. Steve smiles and sighs, realizing he had misinterpreted his feelings once again. ROBIN (CONT'D) So, what do you say about being the most kick-ass, code-breaking, Demogorgon-fighting friends around? Team Scoop Troop Forever? Robin extends her pinky finger for a pinky promise. Steve grins and intertwines his pinky with hers. STEVE Scoop Troop Forever. Robin's smile widens, and they continue cleaning up Scoops Ahoy, chatting and laughing as they do so, knowing their friendship is stronger than ever.
