INT. JANE'S LIVING ROOM - DAY Jane (14), Sam (14), and Aaron Ling (14) are sitting on the couch, chatting and laughing. Aaron suddenly gets a mischievous grin on his face. AARON Hey, you guys wanna see something cool? JANE (excited) Oh, definitely! What is it? SAM (curious) Yeah, spill the beans, Aaron. Aaron stands up and motions for the girls to follow him. They walk into the hallway, passing the front door. JANE So, where are we going? AARON (smirking) It's a surprise. Just follow me. They reach Aaron's bedroom door. He pushes it open, revealing a big dog crate in the corner. JANE (startled) Oh, my gosh, Aaron! You got a dog? AARON (nods) Yep! This is Max, my service dog. Sam's eyes widen with excitement. SAM That is so awesome, Aaron! Can we see him? Aaron opens the crate, and a beautiful Golden Retriever named Max jumps out, wagging its tail. The girls coo and kneel down to pet him. JANE (affectionately) Hey, Max. You're such a cutie! AARON Max helps me out a lot. I have autism, and he's trained to assist me with various tasks. SAM (looking impressed) That's incredible, Aaron. Max, you're a hero! Max barks happily and wags his tail even more energetically. JANE Is there anything specific that Max helps you with, Aaron? AARON (smiling) Yeah, definitely. He helps me stay calm when I feel overwhelmed, reminds me to take my medication, and even opens doors for me when I need it. Sam scratches Max behind his ears, triggering his happy dance. SAM (mock whisper) Wow, Max. You're a smart little assistant, aren't you? JANE (grinning) I wish we had cool dogs like him, Sam. Max is so lucky to have Aaron. AARON Well, I'm lucky to have Max too. He's not just a helpful companion; he's my best friend. Everyone looks at Max with admiration and gratitude. JANE Thank you for showing us, Aaron. Max truly is amazing. SAM (agrees) Absolutely! We're lucky to know you both. They continue to give Max affectionate pats and scratch him. FADE OUT.
