Fade in: EXT. HURRICANES FOOTBALL STADIUM - DAY The sun is shining brightly as fans start to arrive at the stadium for the Miami Hurricanes' first game of the season. A group of friends walk towards the entrance, dressed in orange and green Hurricanes gear. FRIEND 1: I'm feeling good about this season, guys. Rhett Lashlee has got this team firing on all cylinders. FRIEND 2: Yeah, I heard he's been putting in some serious work with the quarterbacks. FRIEND 3: And our defense is looking pretty stacked this year. As they make their way into the stadium, they can hear the crowd cheering in excitement. CUT TO: INT. CENTRAL COMMAND ROOM - DEC 2022 A group of officials sit in front of their computer screens, analyzing data and information from the season. OFFICIAL 1: Well, it looks like the Hurricanes ended their season with a 7-6 record and finished fourth in the conference. OFFICIAL 2: That's not bad, considering we had some tough games this year. OFFICIAL 3: Rhett Lashlee really stepped up and got this team in shape. OFFICIAL 4: Absolutely. And we can't forget about our defense. They were a force to be reckoned with this season. Suddenly, one of the officials' phone rings. He answers it and puts it on speaker. OFFICIAL 5: Hello? COACH LASHLEE (on the phone): Hey guys, it's Rhett. I just wanted to let you know that we've accepted an invitation to play in the New Mexico Bowl against the BYU Cougars. OFFICIAL 2: That's great news, Rhett. We're happy to hear it. CUT TO: EXT. FOOTBALL FIELD - DAY The Hurricanes take the field for their game against the BYU Cougars. The crowd is roaring with excitement. FRIEND 1: This is it, guys. We've got to win this game. FRIEND 2: I have faith in our team. We can do this. FRIEND 3: Let's go, Canes! The game is close, with both teams playing their hearts out. The score is tied with only seconds left in the game. ANNOUNCER (over loudspeaker): The Hurricanes have the ball on their own 20-yard line. It's third down and 10. The crowd falls silent as the Hurricanes huddle up. CUT TO: COACH LASHLEE (yelling from the sideline): Let's go, guys! We can win this! CUT TO: EXT. FOOTBALL FIELD - DAY The quarterback takes the snap and drops back to pass. He sees an opening and throws the ball downfield. FRIEND 1: Come on! FRIEND 2: Go, go, go! FRIEND 3: Yes! CUT TO: INT. CENTRAL COMMAND ROOM - DEC 2022 The officials are glued to their screens as they watch the game. OFFICIAL 2: He caught it! CUT TO: EXT. FOOTBALL FIELD - DAY The crowd erupts in cheers as the Hurricanes receiver catches the ball and runs towards the endzone. ANNOUNCER (over loudspeaker): He's at the 50, the 40, the 30! He's going all the way! CUT TO: INT. CENTRAL COMMAND ROOM - DEC 2022 The officials jump out of their seats as they watch the Hurricanes score the winning touchdown. OFFICIAL 1: Yes! We did it! CUT TO: EXT. FOOTBALL FIELD - DAY The Hurricanes celebrate their victory as the crowd cheers them on. Rhett Lashlee and his coaching staff embrace each other on the sideline. FRIEND 1: This was an incredible game. FRIEND 2: Yeah, I can't believe we won! FRIEND 3: Rhett Lashlee is definitely the real deal. He's brought us back to the top! Fade to black.
