INT. AARON'S BEDROOM - DAY Aaron Ling, a 14-year-old Taiwanese-American boy, anxiously sits on his bed, holding his school grade report. His best friend, Jane, enters the room and notices his worried expression. JANE Hey Aaron, what's up? You seem concerned. AARON (looking down) Jane, you won't believe it. My grades... they're not as good as usual. Jane rushes to sit next to Aaron, concern etched on her face. JANE (confused) What do you mean? You usually ace all your subjects. Let me see. Aaron hands Jane the report, filled with A's and A+'s for every subject except one. JANE (looking at the report) Aaron, this is still incredible! You got all A's except for one A. That's practically perfect! AARON (sighing) I know it's good, but I'm just disappointed with that one A. It's usually an A+. Jane places a supportive hand on Aaron's shoulder. JANE It's just one grade, Aaron. You can't expect to be perfect all the time. Look at how well you did in other subjects. That's amazing! Aaron looks up at Jane, a glimmer of hope shining in his eyes. AARON You're right, Jane. I shouldn't let this one grade bring me down. I should focus on the progress I've made, not just the A+. Jane smiles, proud of her friend for finding a positive perspective. JANE Exactly! Grades don't define you, Aaron. You're capable of so much more than what's written on the report. Keep striving for excellence, but don't forget to celebrate how far you've come. Aaron nods, feeling reassured by Jane's words. AARON Thanks, Jane. I needed to hear that. I won't let this affect my confidence. Jane gives Aaron a reassuring pat on the back. JANE That's the spirit! Remember, I'm always here to remind you of how amazing you are, with or without an A+. You're my superstar, Aaron. Aaron grins, a newfound determination gleaming in his eyes. AARON And you're my superstar too, Jane. Let's conquer the world together, one grade at a time. They share a heartfelt high-five, ready to face any academic challenge that comes their way. FADE OUT.
