Joshua had never considered himself someone who would be chosen to become an army soldier. He was an average guy, going about his life without any particular goals or ambitions. That is until he was randomly selected to become a soldier. One minute, Joshua was walking through a busy city street, minding his own business when he was abruptly approached by two army officials. Without any explanation, they informed him that he had been selected to serve his country and promptly escorted him to a nearby military facility. Joshua was confused and scared, not knowing what was going on or what he had gotten himself into. The officers did not reveal anything to him, only that he was now a soldier and needed to be prepared for an imminent operation. As he walked into a sterile white room, Joshua was handed an all-black combat uniform and a full set of tactical gear. The gear was heavy and intricate, designed to protect him from head to toe. He couldn't believe that he was wearing this and that he would need to wear it all times for the rest of his life. The suit was a marvel of technology, consisting of numerous components that appeared to be separate but interconnected to provide the ultimate protection. The first item he was instructed to put on was the exoskeleton, a metallic frame with hydraulic joints designed to provide additional strength and enhance his mobility. Next, he was directed to put on the armor. The chest plate was made of carbon fiber, and the ceramic trauma plates were designed to absorb and deflect the impact of any projectile. As he put on the torso piece, he immediately felt confined and encompassed by the armor's weight. He then moved on to the leg pieces. The leg plates were made of the same material as the chest plate and fitted over his combat boots. It was designed to protect him from explosives and small-arms fire, with small slits for improved mobility with each step. The arm brace was his least favorite piece, with its complicated mechanics and fear of losing his arm due to the dent points he spotted on the exterior of the gear. However, he was excited to learn that it contained a small arsenal of weapons like a blade and an automatic pistol, both hidden within the arm guard. The final piece was the helmet, probably the most critical component in the tactical gear, which created an air-tight seal over his head and attached to the suit by cables. The helmet was outfitted with an oxygen supply and had a heads-up-display (HUD) that could track his vital signs and help him locate targets on a battlefield through an array of sensors. The entire suit grafted permanently to his skin, ensuring that no amount of impact would dislodge it or put any weak spots on his armor. Joshua had been given the most advanced and cutting-edge technology the military had to offer. However, he was still wrestling with how he'd been thrust into this sudden situation. The young man could only wonder how and why he was chosen to serve his country. Nevertheless, he was ready to embark on whatever missions and assignments lay ahead.
