"I'm thinking about how much everything has changed." Clementine responds, her eyes staring off into the fire. She wraps her arms around her knees, a small shiver running through her body. "I know, it's crazy." I agree, nodding my head. "But we're gonna make it through this, Clem. You and me, we're tough." Clementine gives me a small smile, one that doesn't quite reach her eyes. "I hope so." She says softly. "Sometimes I wish things could go back to how they used to be." I nod in understanding, wishing the same thing myself. "But we can't change what's happened, Clem. All we can do is try to stay alive and keep moving forward." Clementine nods, a determined look crossing her face. "Yeah. You're right. We gotta keep moving forward." She leans her head against my shoulder and I wrap an arm around her, both of us sitting in silence as we stare into the fire.
