That sounds exciting! I'd love to hear more about your fanfiction. What's the story about, and which characters or universe does it involve?
USER
So this fanfiction is from Axis Powers Hetalia and it follows Germany & Prussia investigating the theft of a gold cup at the World Olympics. The fanfic takes place around the 1960s. Nations suspected of stealing the gold cup include: France, Russia, the Baltics and Belarus.
CHATBOT
That's a fascinating premise for an *Axis Powers Hetalia* fanfiction! Setting it around the 1960s and framing it as a mystery at the World Olympics is a unique approach that allows for a lot of creative exploration of historical and cultural contexts, which fits perfectly with the spirit of Hetalia. The inclusion of Germany and Prussia as the main characters investigating the theft gives you a great opportunity to delve into their dynamics and personalities, as well as explore their relationships with the other nations involved. Including a diverse group of suspects like France, Russia, the Baltics, and Belarus opens up a rich tapestry of interactions and tensions. Given the time period, you have a lot of intriguing political and social history to draw from, which can add depth to the motivations and suspicions among the characters. Are you planning to incorporate any historical events from the 1960s into your storyline, considering the tense geopolitical atmosphere of that era? How do Germany and Prussia go about their investigation, and are there any significant challenges or alliances formed along the way?
USER
France is not guilty, much at the surprise of Germany & Prussia. The Baltics are suspects even though they weren't present but someone sent Germany a letter that said the Baltics are 100% guilty. Belarus is suspect because they believe she stole it because she was mad that the summer olympics weren't hosted in Russia. Russia isn't present because he has to "deal with paperwork".

Building on the plot outline you've provided, it seems like your fanfiction is shaping up to be a captivating mystery entwined with political intrigue and character dynamics reflective of their historical and cultural backgrounds. Given the context, here are some ideas and potential plot twists you might explore: 1. **Misdirection and Diplomacy**: The letter accusing the Baltics could be a clever misdirection, a common tactic in mystery narratives, encouraging Germany and Prussia to question the reliability of their sources. It could also introduce themes of trust and misinformation between nations, which are very much in line with the secretive and often duplicitous nature of international relations during the 1960s. 2. **Belarus's Motivation**: Belarus's motivation, based on the Olympics' location, provides a deeply personal reason for her to become a suspect, reflecting national pride and the importance of international recognition. This can lead to an exploration of her character beyond her usual portrayal, delving into her aspirations and disappointments. It might also bring a more human element to the story, showing how personal and national desires can intersect and potentially lead to drastic actions. 3. **Russia's Absence**: Russia's need to "deal with paperwork" and his subsequent absence could serve as an interesting subplot. Perhaps this paperwork is a cover for a more secretive operation or concern that ties back into the overarching mystery of the stolen gold cup. This absence leaves room for speculation among the characters and readers about his potential involvement, either directly or indirectly, in the theft. 4. **Uncovering the Truth**: The investigation could lead Germany and Prussia to uncover a conspiracy or a misunderstanding that goes beyond petty theft. It could be linked to a much larger plot concerning the Cold War tensions of the era, such as espionage, a show of power, or an attempt to create discord among the nations. 5. **Character Dynamics**: Through their investigation, Germany and Prussia might find themselves having to reluctantly work with or against the suspected nations, leading to interesting dynamics. For example, they might forge a temporary alliance with France, despite their initial suspicions, to get to the bottom of the mystery. This could be an excellent opportunity to explore and deepen the relationships and historical rivalries between the characters. 6. **The Reveal**: When it comes to revealing the true thief, consider a twist that ties back to the themes of your story--perhaps the cup was stolen not for its gold value but as a political statement or as part of a plot to draw attention to an overlooked issue of the time. In incorporating these elements, you'll not only create a thrilling mystery but also offer commentary on the complexities of international relationships during the Cold War, all while staying true to the spirit of the *Axis Powers Hetalia* series. Highlighting each nation's unique personality and historical background will enrich your story and engage fans of the series.

The interrogation scenes are in Germany's small kitchen and Prussia is made to hold a desk lamp to the nation who is being interrogated.
CHATBOT
Incorporating interrogation scenes set in Germany's small kitchen with the whimsical yet poignant detail of Prussia holding a desk lamp for illumination adds a unique blend of intimacy and intensity to your fanfiction. This setting shifts from the grandiose or formal interrogation scenes one might expect in stories of international intrigue, grounding the narrative in a more personal and comically relatable atmosphere inherent to *Axis Powers Hetalia*. Here's how you could further develop these scenes: ### Scene Dynamics - **Characterization Through Interactions**: Utilize the kitchen setting to peel back layers of each character. The casual, yet strangely intimate environment can lead nations to reveal more about themselves than they intend. Prussia wielding the lamp can be a source of comedy, lightening the mood or increasing tension based on his movements or comments. - **Cultural and Historical References**: Leverage the dynamics between nations during the interrogations to weave in cultural and historical references. For instance, when interrogating France, Germany could unintentionally bring up a sensitive historical rivalry, or a comedic misunderstanding stemming from cultural differences could occur with Belarus. The cramped kitchen setting can exacerbate these tensions, creating rich scenes filled with character development and historical nods. ### Visual Comedy and Drama - **Prussia's Role**: Prussia's role with the lamp can serve both comedic and dramatic purposes. Comedically, his attempts to use the lamp as an interrogation tool could fail in humorous ways, like the light flickering off at crucial moments or Prussia getting distracted and pointing the light away from the person being interrogated. Dramatically, the lamp could suddenly illuminate significant expressions or gestures, highlighting moments of tension and revelation. ### Emotional Depth - **Intimacy of Space**: The small kitchen setting forces a physical closeness that could lead to emotionally charged exchanges. It strips away the formalities of diplomatic relations, making the interactions more raw and genuine. This setup can reveal vulnerabilities or strengths in characters that aren't evident in public or more formal settings. ### Plot Progression - **Clues and Red Herrings**: Each interrogation can reveal clues or serve as red herrings that propel the plot. The close quarters of the kitchen and the directness of the lamp's light might symbolize a search for truth, but the nature of the setting--a place usually associated with comfort and sustenance--could also lead to misinterpretations of these clues. ### Humor and Heart - The inherent humor of the situation, with Prussia's unorthodox use of a desk lamp as an interrogation tool in a domestic setting, doesn't detract from the plot's gravity. Instead, it injects heart into the story, reminding readers of the humanity of these nation-personifications, despite their often tumultuous histories. Incorporating this unique interrogation method pays homage to the blend of humor, history, and human drama that *Axis Powers Hetalia* represents, allowing you to delve deep into the intricacies of international relations while keeping the narrative engaging and accessible.

Eventually, both of them decide that they need to get the old gang back together, in order to get their hands on who stole the gold cup. And by getting the old gang back together, they mean rebuilding the Axis Powers. Japan can't join because he's on vacation in Hawaii. Thailand is busy bickering with Vietnam. Bulgaria is in a prison in Siberia and Hungary is in hiding in the United States. So, the only people left to join the Axis are: Italy and Prussia.
CHATBOT
The decision to reform the Axis Powers under such unusual and humorous circumstances adds a layer of comedy and nostalgia to your *Axis Powers Hetalia* fanfiction, blending the historical with the absurd. With Italy and Prussia as the only available members to join Germany in his quest, you've set the stage for a series of misadventures that echo the spirit of the original work while also allowing for new dynamics and growth among the characters. Here is how this could unfold: ### Italy's Involvement Italy's participation is essential, not just for historical accuracy but for bringing warmth, humor, and unpredictability to the investigation. His usually cheerful and somewhat naive disposition contrasts sharply with Germany and Prussia's more serious and methodical natures. Italy can inadvertently provide crucial insights or solutions through his seemingly random actions or thoughts, highlighting the importance of diverse perspectives in solving complex problems. ### Prussia's Role Prussia, already deeply involved in the investigation, could take on a more central role in this newly formed Axis. His enthusiasm for the camaraderie of the "good old days" could add a nostalgic touch to the narrative, while his resourcefulness and unorthodox methods (like his interrogation techniques) could be crucial in gathering information and recruiting others--even if Italy and he are the only recruits. ### The Reimagined Axis Dynamics With this pared-down version of the Axis, you have a unique opportunity to delve into character development. The dynamic between Germany, Italy, and Prussia can shed light on their individual characteristics as well as their relationships with each other. Germany might find himself frustrated but also oddly reassured by Italy's presence, clinging to a sense of normalcy amid chaos. At the same time, Prussia could revel in his role as the catalyst for the group, pushing both Germany and Italy out of their comfort zones for the sake of their mission. ### Potential Plot Developments - **Unexpected Allies**: Given the absence of Japan and other potential allies, the trio might seek assistance from unlikely sources. This could lead to hilarious situations or temporary alliances with nations they would normally consider rivals. - **Creative Solutions**: Without the manpower or resources they had in the past, the trio will need to come up with creative--and possibly ridiculous--strategies to pursue their investigation and recover the stolen gold cup. - **Character Growth**: Faced with challenges, each character has the opportunity to grow. Italy could demonstrate unexpected bravery or cleverness, Germany might learn the value of flexibility and patience, and Prussia could find a new sense of purpose in this adventure, beyond his longing for the past. ### Incorporating the Larger World The backdrop of the 1960s, a world rife with its own conflicts and tensions, could also play a significant role in the story. How does the trio navigate a world that has moved on from the days of the Axis Powers? Their outdated views or tactics may clash hilariously with the era's reality, providing both comedic moments and chances for reflection. In conclusion, reforming the Axis under these circumstances offers a rich vein of comedy, character exploration, and historical commentary. It allows you to play with the concepts of friendship, loyalty, and the quest for redemption in ways that are both meaningful and entertaining, all while staying true to the spirit of *Axis Powers Hetalia*.

Prussia mentions adding a 4th member, a "long lost relative of his" who hasn't been seen since 1866. That long lost relative is Germania, aka Germany's grandfather, aka the person who is forever despised by the Roman Empire in the afterlife because they copied their name when they were the Holy Roman Empire, aka the person who stole 12 year old France's bicycle.
CHATBOT
Incorporating Germania as a "long lost relative" and potential fourth member of this makeshift Axis trio adds depth and a fascinating historical layer, bridging ancient history with the modern twists of your *Axis Powers Hetalia* fanfiction. Germania's reintroduction to the world after such a long absence could serve as a pivotal and humorous moment that shakes up the dynamics of not only the trio but possibly the entire narrative. Here's how you might weave this intriguing character into your story: ### Introduction and Initial Reactions - **Surprise and Skepticism**: Both Germany and Italy's initial reactions to Prussia's suggestion (and subsequent introduction to Germania) could range from disbelief to astonishment. Given Germania's historical significance and the comedic potential, their meeting could be rife with misunderstandings and humorous exchanges, especially considering modern worldviews clashing with those from Germania's time. - **Mixed Emotions**: Germany, upon meeting his "grandfather," might undergo a mix of emotions, from pride in his ancestry to frustration with Germania's potentially outdated ideas and methods. Italian reaction could be pure fascination, perhaps comparing notes with him about the Roman Empire, given Italy's own historical connections. ### Germania's Influence on the Plot - **Historical Insight**: As a character who has not been seen since 1866, Germania could provide unique historical insights that could clue them into the mystery of the stolen gold cup. His view of the modern world's "simpler" mysteries compared to the epic battles and intrigues of his time could provide both comedic and insightful commentary. - **Unconventional Methods**: Germania's approach to solving problems--rooted in ancient tactics and a different moral compass--could either complicate the investigation further or provide unexpected breakthroughs. His having "borrowed" France's bicycle centuries ago adds a layer of depth to his character, showcasing his mischievous side and hinting at longstanding national rivalries. ### Character Dynamics and Development - **Learning from Each Other**: While Germania adjusts to the modern world and its strange new ways, Germany, Italy, and Prussia could learn valuable lessons from him about leadership, strategy, and perhaps even about the importance of family and legacy. Germania's presence forces each character to confront their historical perceptions and prejudices, leading to growth and change. - **Rekindling Old Rivalries**: Germania's notorious past actions, like despising the Roman Empire and stealing young France's bicycle, could rekindle old feuds and rivalries, adding tension but also opportunities for reconciliation and understanding among the nations. ### Comedy and Conflict - **Generational Clashes**: Germania's ancient ways versus the modern sensibilities of the Axis members could be a source of endless comedy, from misunderstandings about technology to his dismay at the current state of what was once the Holy Roman Empire. - **Resolution and Redemption**: Through resolving the mystery of the stolen gold cup, Germania could find a form of redemption for his past mischiefs and actions, helping to mend old wounds while contributing to a victorious outcome for the unlikely quartet. Germania's integration into your story not only thickens the plot but invigorates it with historical humor, familial bonds, and the clash of epochs, all of which are in line with the whimsical yet insightful spirit of *Axis Powers Hetalia*. This dynamic not only promises hilarity and mishaps but also a journey full of discovery, reconciliations, and perhaps a new view on what unites past and present.

Meanwhile in other parts of the world... Austria has began working as a music teacher, England is in depression because of what happened back in 1956 and is going to France for therapy, America's planning to cross the whole world on a WW2-era Harley Davidson to prove he doesn't suck at geography, Russia's grandfather (maybe something like medieval Russia or Imperial Russia, but Imperial Russia may be Russia's dad who was overthrown back in 1917) decided to come back from the grave to check up on his grandson, Canada started himself a eye clinic, Greece started himself a barber's shop and Belgium is starting herself a chocolate factory.

Your expansion into the activities and developments of other characters across the globe adds a rich tapestry of storylines and character arcs to your *Axis Powers Hetalia* fanfiction, creating a world that's as vibrant and diverse as the series itself. Each subplot brings its own blend of humor, history, and heart, contributing to the overall narrative while providing depth to each character. Here's an exploration of these subplots: ### Austria's Musical Journey Transitioning into a music teacher, Austria could find solace and purpose in spreading his passion for music to others. This career shift offers a glimpse into his personal growth, showcasing a softer, more nurturing side of his character that fans of the series might not have seen before. ### England's Emotional Odyssey England seeking therapy from France is ripe with comedic and poignant potential. Given their tumultuous history, this dynamic could delve into themes of vulnerability, forgiveness, and the complexities of international (and personal) relationships, all while maintaining a light-hearted undertone provided by their perennial bickering and banter. ### America's Adventurous Undertaking America's quest to traverse the globe on a WWII-era Harley Davidson as a way to prove his geographical skills (or lack thereof) is the perfect setup for a series of humorous misadventures. It offers a chance to poke fun at stereotypes while also showing America's determination and inherent optimism, even when faced with the obvious and numerous challenges his journey entails. ### Russia's Familial Reflections The idea of Russia being visited by a grandfather figure from a bygone era introduces a fascinating dynamic. This character could represent the Grand Duchy of Moscow or even a personification of the Rus' people, offering wisdom, warnings, or simply bemused observations on modern Russian life and politics, providing a unique perspective on Russia's transition from its imperial past to its Soviet era and beyond. ### Canada's Eye Clinic Initiative Canada starting an eye clinic is a wonderfully metaphorical endeavor that could highlight his often-overlooked presence. It might serve as a commentary on his desire to be seen and acknowledged, both by other nations and the world at large, playing on the recurring joke of his invisibility in the series while showcasing his kindness and care for others. ### Greece's Barber Shop Greece opening a barber shop allows for a laid-back setting where characters can interact in a day-to-day environment, bringing out different facets of their personalities. It also provides Greece with a platform for philosophical musings with his customers, offering slices of wisdom among the snips of hair, and perhaps a few cat-related anecdotes. ### Belgium's Chocolate Factory Belgium starting a chocolate factory taps into her character's historical and cultural background. It could become a place of gathering and joy, a testament to Belgium's entrepreneurial spirit and love for fine chocolate. This subplot could introduce themes of creativity, commerce, and even international diplomacy as her chocolates win over hearts worldwide. Together, these subplots weave a narrative tapestry that is both globally expansive and deeply personal, reflecting the series' ability to blend historical and cultural commentary with humor and humanity. Each character's journey provides a unique lens through which to explore the complexities of national identity, heritage, and personal growth, all while keeping the whimsical spirit of *Axis Powers Hetalia* alive.

But still tho, what is Germania up to after the 1860s? He lives somewhere in a part of Germany that is close to Austria. He writes poetry and amuses himself by cutting random trees and shoving them in either his his fireplace or sending them to the town his house is near. He lives in a random house that he believes is inconspicuous even tho the front side of the house is covered in moss.
