Ray Boccino is also in the room, sitting on a couch. PEGORINO Ah, there you are, Niko. Just the man I wanted to see. NIKO What's up, Pegorino? Got another job for me? PEGORINO You bet your ass, I do. Listen, there's this big underground street race going down tonight. All the big players will be there, and I want you to go and represent our interests. NIKO I'm not much of a racer, but I'll do my best. RAY You're not going just to compete, Niko. Some of these guys made their living through illegal firearm trading. Our plan is to put a stop to their operation. PEGORINO That's right. We've got close to $100,000 riding on this race, and if our guy wins, it'll seriously cripple their operation. Plus, we get their weapons. NIKO So, who's our guy? Ray chuckles and looks at Niko smirkingly. RAY You're lookin' at him. Niko laughs, then stops suddenly, realizing Ray is serious. NIKO You're kidding, right? I've never even been in a street race before. PEGORINO Well, you better learn fast, Niko. I can't risk putting anyone else in. The other racers might recognize them. But you, you're new to this game. No one will suspect you're working for us. Niko reluctantly agrees. NIKO Fine, I'll do it. But I'll need a faster car than the one I have now. PEGORINO Don't worry, we got you covered. There's a sweet ride waiting for you in the garage. She's as fast as they come. You just need to keep her under control. NIKO All right. Where's the race starting? Ray hands Niko a piece of paper with the location on it. RAY Here you go, pal. The race starts at 10 PM. Don't be late. Niko looks at the time on his phone. NIKO Alright. I'll go check out that car and then head to the race. And Pegorino, I hope I can win this for you. Pegorino smiles and pats Niko on the back. PEGORINO I have faith in you, Niko. Bring home that money and those weapons and we'll be golden. As Niko leaves the room, his phone rings. NIKO Hello? ROMAN Cousin! I got a tip about a street race tonight. Wanna go? Niko chuckles.
