Derek and his elf wife, Elara, lived alone in their cozy house in the woods. Derek had always loved the peaceful seclusion of their home, surrounded by towering trees and the sounds of nature. He loved coming home to Elara after a long day of work in the nearby village, where he would share stories of the day's events and they would laugh and talk long into the night. But as the years passed, Derek began to worry about the inevitable passing of time. Elves, after all, lived for hundreds of years, while humans only lived a fraction of that time. He couldn't bear the thought of losing Elara, his soulmate, to old age while he remained young. One night, as they sat by the fire, Derek broached the subject gently. "Elara, my love, is there any way you could turn me into an elf? So that we can be together for far longer?" Elara looked at him with a sad smile. "I can only turn people into female elves, Derek. It's a gift passed down through generations of my family." Derek chuckled. "Well, I suppose I'm lucky you're bisexual then, aren't I?" he joked, trying to lighten the mood. Elara placed a gentle hand on his cheek. "Are you sure, Derek? Once the transformation is complete, there's no going back." Derek nodded resolutely. "I'm sure, Elara. I want to be with you for as long as I can." And so, Elara began the ritual of transformation, chanting ancient elvish words and weaving her magic around Derek. As the light faded, Derek felt a strange sensation wash over him. He looked down at himself and gasped in shock. "Elara, I... I'm a woman!" Elara laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "It'll take some getting used to, won't it?" Derek tentatively touched his now ample chest, feeling the weight of his new form. "I can't believe how big these... uh, assets are," he said with a chuckle. He then looked at Elara with a mischievous grin. "So, since I'm now a female elf, do I get a new name too?" Elara thought for a moment before suggesting, "How about Elenwen? It means starlight in elvish." Derek's eyes widened in surprise. "I... I can understand you perfectly, Elara. I can speak elvish now." Elara smiled, her eyes twinkling with pride. "You are now one of us, Elenwen. A part of the elvish world." And so, Elenwen and Elara lived happily ever after in their secluded house in the woods, their love transcending gender and time. They laughed and talked and loved each other for many, many years, until they were finally reunited in the starlit realm of the elves.
