JANE So, Sam, did you finish that painting you were working on? SAM Yeah, finally! It took forever, but I'm pretty proud of it. AARON You guys are so talented. I wish I could do something amazing like that. JANE Oh, come on, Aaron! You're smart in your own way. We need your brainy skills for our adventures. They all laugh. JANE (CONT'D) (catching her breath) Speaking of adventures, Sam, did you see that new video game trailer? SAM No, I didn't! We should definitely check it out later. But first, want to see the new skate trick I learned? Jane and Aaron nod eagerly, ready to be amazed. Suddenly, Aaron's phone buzzes, interrupting their excitement. He picks it up and frowns. AARON Guys, you won't believe this. My mom has a GoFundMe page? JANE (confused) A GoFundMe? Why would she have one? SAM Yeah, I didn't know your mom was doing something like that. What's it for? AARON (nervously) It says she's struggling to pay rent, bills, and take care of me. She set a goal of $50,000. Jane and Sam exchange concerned glances. JANE Aaron, why didn't you tell us your mom was going through such a tough time? AARON (shrugging) I didn't want to burden you guys with my problems. Besides, she usually hides these things from me. SAM Well, we're your friends, Aaron. We want to help, don't we, Jane? Jane nods in agreement. JANE Absolutely. We're in this together. We'll figure something out. AARON (teary-eyed) Thanks, guys. I feel better knowing I'm not alone. SAM We're here for you, Aaron. And we're not leaving until we find a way to help your mom out.
