{KINGDOM OF VIOLIGHT - RANSEI REGION} ???: "Wake up...wake up..." (Shadecleaver is passed out in the kingdom of Violight - his armor slightly damaged by his fall.) ???: "Wake up!" Shadecleaver: (jolting awake) "AAH! Jeez!" ???: "Thank goodness you're awake. Our Warlord - Lady Ginchiyo - hasn't left her chamber in a while. We're worried about her." Shadecleaver: "Lady Ginchiyo? What happened to her? Is she alright?" ???: "We're not sure. She's been acting strange lately, secluded in her chamber and refusing to see anyone. Some of us are concerned that something might be wrong with her." Shadecleaver: "I see. I'll go check on her. Lead the way." (Shadecleaver follows the person through the kingdom of Violight, noticing the worried whispers and concerned looks from the residents.) Shadecleaver: "What could be causing Lady Ginchiyo to act like this? She's always been strong and composed." ???: "That's what worries us too. She's a fearless leader, but lately, she seems distant and troubled. We're hoping you can help." (They arrive at Lady Ginchiyo's chamber. The door is closed.) Shadecleaver: "Lady Ginchiyo, it's Shadecleaver. May I come in?" (There's just silence coming from Lady Ginchiyo's chamber.) Shadecleaver: (knocking on the door) "Lady Ginchiyo, please, it's me. Can I come in?" (Still, there is no response.) Shadecleaver: (growing more worried) "Lady Ginchiyo, we're all concerned about you. Please, let me in." (Silence persists. And then...screams of pain can be heard from inside the chamber.) Shadecleaver: (panicking) "Lady Ginchiyo! What's happening?" (Without hesitation, Shadecleaver kicks down the door, revealing Lady Ginchiyo in pain, clutching her belly - which was round and swollen.)

Lady Ginchiyo: (groaning) "Shadecleaver... It hurts... The pain... I don't know what's happening." Shadecleaver: (rushing to her side) "Lady Ginchiyo, hold on! We'll find help, I promise." (Lady Ginchiyo's hand tightens around Shadecleaver's wrist, her face contorted in agony.) Lady Ginchiyo: "No... It's too late for me... But you must protect Ransei... My child... It carries the fate of our kingdom." Shadecleaver: (shocked) "Your child? But how? Lady Ginchiyo, we need to get you to a healer. They can--" Lady Ginchiyo: (interrupting) "No, Shadecleaver... There is no time. The child... It is special... You must raise it as your own... Train it to be a great warrior... The destiny of Violight rests upon its shoulders." Shadecleaver: (frustrated) "But Lady Ginchiyo, you can't just--" (Lady Ginchiyo's grip weakens, her breaths becoming shallow.) Lady Ginchiyo: (whispering) "Please... Promise... Protect... Runsei..." (And with those final words, Lady Ginchiyo's life fades away. Shadecleaver is left stunned and grief-stricken, holding the lifeless body of their beloved Warlord.) Shadecleaver: (through tears) "I promise, Lady Ginchiyo... I will protect Runsei and your child. I swear it." (As Shadecleaver mourns the loss of their leader, a sense of determination and responsibility takes hold. They know they must fulfill Lady Ginchiyo's dying wish and raise her child to become a worthy successor. The destiny of Violight now falls to Shadecleaver's hands.)
