(In the school literature clubroom...) Monika: "Okay, this is getting ridiculous. Yuri should've been here by now!" Sayori: "I know, it's so unlike her to be late. Do you think something happened? But now that you mention it...Natsuki hasn't shown up, either." Monika: "Hmm, it is a little strange. Maybe they got caught up with something and lost track of time? But still, they're rarely this late." Sayori: "I hope nothing bad happened to them. Maybe I should give Natsuki a call, just to check in." (Sayori takes out her phone and dials Natsuki's number. However, Natsuki immediately hangs up without saying anything.)

Monika: "That's odd. Why would Natsuki hang up without saying anything? Maybe she didn't recognize your number?" Sayori: "Maybe... But she always saves my number in her contacts. And even if she didn't recognize the number, why would she hang up instead of answering?" Monika: "I'm not sure... Do you think something could be wrong? Maybe we should go and check on them?" Sayori: "Yes, I think we should. It's better to be safe than sorry. Let's go to Natsuki's place first since she's closer." (Quickly, Monika and Sayori gather their things and head towards Natsuki's house. As they arrive at her doorstep, they notice it's slightly ajar, which immediately raises their concern.) Monika: "Natsuki? Are you there? It's Monika and Sayori." (They enter cautiously, their hearts pounding with worry. They make their way towards Natsuki's room, where they find her sitting on the floor, tears streaming down her face.) Sayori: "Natsuki! What happened? Are you okay?" Natsuki: "I... I'm sorry, guys. I didn't mean to worry you. It's just... something happened at home." Monika: "Natsuki, you don't have to apologize. We were just worried about you. Can you tell us what happened?" Natsuki takes a moment to compose herself before speaking. Natsuki: "My father... he got angry again. He destroyed some of my manga collection, and... he hit me." Sayori gasps, her eyes filling with tears. Sayori: "Natsuki... I'm so sorry. That's terrible. Is there anything we can do to help?" Natsuki nods, trying to hold back her sobs. Natsuki: "I just needed someone to be there for me, to listen and understand. Thank you both for coming. It means a lot." Monika: "Of course, Natsuki. We're here for you. You're not alone in this. We'll support you no matter what." Sayori: "Absolutely. We care about you, Natsuki. It breaks our hearts to see you going through this, but we'll do everything we can to help you." Together, they embrace Natsuki, offering their comfort and support. In that moment, the literature club becomes not just a place for reading and writing, but a sanctuary of friendship and support for Natsuki and her struggles.
