INT. JUNES FOOD COURT - NIGHT The Investigation Team is gathered around the usual table. Yu, Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko, and Teddie are all puzzled. They're staring at Naoto and Kanji across the table. NAOTO (smirking) I must say, it's quite impressive that you've managed to make it this far without suspecting a thing. Kanji wraps his arm around Naoto and pulls her closer. They exchange a passionate look. KANJI Yeah, we had you all fooled for quite a while, didn't we? YOSUKE (confused) Naoto... Kanji... What are you talking about? NAOTO (sultry) Oh, Yosuke... don't you see? Kanji and I, we've been playing you all this time. And now... we are ready to take over. Kanji grins and holds up a strange, glowing device. It has several wires connected to a dark-looking crystal. CHIE (shocked) What is that thing? KANJI (evil laughter) This lovely little device can turn the world into our personal playground! Naoto leans towards Kanji, grinning. NAOTO And you'll be able to enjoy the chaos knowing that we will always protect each other, no matter what. Kanji smirks and his hand reaches Naoto's chin. He tenderly lifts her face. KANJI Of course, babe. No one's gonna harm a single hair on your beautiful head. They giggle together before turning their eyes back to the horrified faces of their friends. YUKIKO (panicking) We can't let them do this! We have to stop them! YU (serious) Right. We trusted you both, and you deceived us. We won't let you get away with this. Naoto and Kanji glance at each other and start to laugh maniacally. NAOTO Just try... it's time to put an end to this little charade. They both raise their arms and activate the device. A flash of light illuminates the food court. The Investigation Team braces themselves, preparing for a battle. EXT. INABA - NIGHT The once peaceful town of Inaba falls into chaos as shadows and darkness envelop the streets. The scenery is grim, with broken street lamps and overturned cars everywhere. INT. JUNES FOOD COURT - NIGHT The Investigation Team stands together, accepting their duty to stop Naoto and Kanji. YU (fierce determination) We won't allow this terror to continue. No matter what it takes, we will stop you both and return Inaba to the peaceful town it once was. The members of the Investigation Team charge forward, ready to confront their former friends and protect Inaba from the evil that has taken over. FADE OUT.
